    Nov 01,  · Last week we started a series of posts in which we are re-examining well-known passages of Scripture. This week we will look at Hebrews , “not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some ” (NKJV).This passage is often cited to rebuke those who “miss church,” but is that really what the writer of Hebrews had in mind? We are accountable to each other to make sure the word of God is not misused. We do still go to “corporate, organized worship” at a local, biblically sound (as far as we can see) church, but we are very hesitant to becoming affiliated with any church again.
